Seedpods were the inspiration for this piece. Leaves have been rolled onto the surface of the clay leaving behind a skeletal imprint, almost like the fossilized wing of a dragonfly. Some leaves have been highlighted with 24ct gold leaf.
The pod is 15cm in length and constructed from white earthenware clay and fired to 1120 degrees Celcius.
NB. All my pieces are handmade and totally unique. The piece you will receive may not be the exact one shown in the image. However, it will be just as beautiful with only the subtle differences.
