Isla Fine Art

Isla Fine Art Cards & Gifts is a small gallery and gift shop in the centre of Buxton, Derbyshire. They stock a wide range of art-themed greetings cards and a carefully curated selection of unusual and beautiful design-led gifts. Their gift ranges include homewares, jewellery, fashion accessories, bath and body products. The gallery space is used to showcase original artwork by local artists and they also sell a selection of prints. The shop was started in 2017 by husband and wife team, Isla Dawes and Mark Brighton. Isla & Mark have many years retail experience as booksellers in London where they owned and ran 3 shops for over 10 years. In 2016 they decided that it was time for a change so they sold the shops, all of which are still thriving independent bookshops, and moved to beautiful Buxton in search of a more rural existence and the opportunity to bring their retail expertise and creativity to bear on a new project. Their aim is to provide an interesting, aesthetically pleasing, and refreshingly different shopping experience for the discerning customer. They also try to support local artists and makers by showing and selling their work.
