Art In Action Waterperry Gardens

17 Jul 2008 Until
20 Jul 2008

A fantastic opportunity to see artists, crafters, performers and musicians gather together in Waterperry Gardens to demonstrate their skills and show their work.

Art In Action take place every July in the beautiful setting of the Waterperry Gardens in Oxfordshire. The show brings together over 400 artists, crafters, performers who demonstrate their skills and show their work. It is the most wonderful show to visit!

In 1977, 51 artists and musicians took part in the first Art in Action and 14,000 visitors arrived. Today Art in Action welcomes approximately 25,000 people over four days. Visitors come to learn, buy and enjoy the exhibitions, classes and performances.

Art in Action was begun by students of the School of Economic Science and continues today along with the support of many students, artists and members of the public.

This year I'm thrilled to be demonstrating how I create the textures in my work and how I construct the pieces. I will also be participating in a demonstration with Raku artist Peter Hayes. It will be the first time one of my pieces has been fired in this exciting and often unpredictable method!
